Salita ist eine im Umgang angenehme Stute die sich sehr aufgeweckt und lernbereit zeigt. Sie ist keine Schlaftablette und kann an der Hand schonmal durchgehen, wenn man auf dem Weg Richtung Koppel ist. Dabei wirkt sie nie bösartig oder unwillig, sie ist einfach nur gut drauf und kann es nicht erwarten, endlich mit ihrer Herde toben zu können.

Unterm Sattel ist sie nicht ganz einfach, für einen erfahrenen Reiter aber gut händelbar. So ist sie sehr sensibel und fordert eine weiche Hand, sonst versteckt sie sich schnell hinterm Zügel oder fängt an permanent mit dem Kopf zu schlagen. Das kann das Reiten zu einer wahren Tortur machen und oftmals ist man als Reiter nur damit beschäftigt, ihren Kopf wieder in die richtige Lage zu bringen. Wer aber genug Einfühlungsvermögen mitbringt, kann es schaffen. Wenn ihr etwas nicht passt, kann die junge Fuchsstute auch auf stur schalten und man sollte sich auf keine Machtkämpfe einlassen. Eine ehemalige Reiterin ihres Vaters Safcon sagte dazu nur "jaja, das kenn ich. Safcon kann das gut und scheint es auch zu vererben. In so Momenten hilft es nur sich etwas Neues einfallen zu lassen und Ablenkung zu schaffen. Sobald die Gedanken wo anders sind, ist die Sturheit wie weg geblasen" und auch bei Salita zeigt es sich so. Sie ist eine vielseitige Stute, bietet sich mit geschmeidigen und raumgreifenden Gängen für die Dressur an und ist mit viel Herz im Gelände. Dabei ist sie bei einem gemütlichen Ausritt ebenso motiviert wie in einer Geländeprüfung. Lediglich das Springen sagt ihr kaum zu. Sie wird in engen Parcouren schnell nervös, zögert im falschen Moment und schießt im falschen Moment los. Es bedarf viel Geschick sie durch einen A-Parcour zu lenken, obwohl sie die Sprünge rein von der Höhe her gut schafft.
