Aus dem Blick von Maihof’s Adlerflug kann man viel entnehmen - Intelligenz, Temperament und starken Willen. Und genauso agiert diese schwarze Perle auch: er ist zwar sehr stressresistent und nicht schreckhaft, dafür legt er prinzipiell viel Tempo und Bestimmtheit in seine Bewegungen. Er ist ein wenig stur und braucht einen Reiter, der einen flotten Hengst wie ihn unter Kontrolle hat, aber trotzdem auch fördern kann. Das gute Exterieur von Adlerflug macht nicht nur auf menschliche Betrachter einen guten Eindruck – er will sich auch vor Stuten immer von seiner besten Seite zeigen und plustert sich gerne ein wenig auf. Man kann also ganz eindeutig erkennen, dass er nach einem erfahrenen Hengsthalter verlangt, der ihn seiner Art gerecht fördert, aber trotzdem nicht auf Disziplin und Erziehung vergisst. In ruhigen Momenten kann Maihof’s Adlerflug auch seine sensible Seite zeigen und ist bei Streicheleinheiten nicht darum verlegen, auch mal mit seinen Liebsten zu schmusen. Wichtig für sein Fortkommen in Zucht und Sport ist es also, eine ausgewogene Mischung zu finden, um nicht nur das Pferd, sondern auch sich selbst glücklich machen zu können.
