Cayoun ist auf unserem Hof aufgewachsen und nach kurzem Aufenthalt auf dem Gestüt Iven wieder zu uns zurückgekehrt. Charakterlich fällt Cayoun bei uns wenig auf, da er ein sehr genügsamer und ruhiger Hengst ist. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen legt er keine unangenehmen oder rebellischen Hengstmanieren an den Tag, sondern kann sich in Anwesenheit von anderen Pferden beherrschen. Nur wenn ein anderer Hengst ihn direkt provoziert wird Cayoun auch mal rebellisch. Unter dem Sattel ist er ebenfalls ein braves Lamm und insbesondere im Dressurviereck blüht der braune Hengst auf. Schätzungsweise hat er dieses Talent von seinem Vater Connery SD geerbt. Dieser stammt im Übrigen aus einer sehr bekannten Blutlinie die sich auf den Hengst Donauzauber zurückführen lässt. Es ist also nicht überraschend, dass Cayoun mit eiserner Disziplin und Selbstbeherrschung im Dressursport glänzt. In den letzten Wochen haben wir ebenfalls angefangen den Hengst an den Parcours zu gewöhnen, wo er stets etwas vorsichtig, aber doch neugierig an die Sache heran geht. Da auch seine Mutter Aluette mitunter einiges an Springpotenzial besitzt, nehmen wir stark an dass auch Cayoun in den nächsten Jahren zumindest in den unteren Klassen auch im Springsport erfolgreich sein wird. Sobald der Hengst seine Ausbildung und erste Turnierphase hat, werden wir ihn in der Zucht einsetzen. Dann wrid sich zeigen wie gut seine Erbanlagen sind und ob er seine Fähigkeiten gut vererben kann.
