Auch wenn man weiß dass Pferde diese Eigenschaft nicht haben können, wer mit Cambella zu tun hat bekommt schnell den Eindruck dass die dunkelbraune Stute böswillig ist. Sie ist eine Eigenbrödlerin, in der Herde steht sie meistens allein oder giftet andere an. Auch zum Menschen sucht sie wenig Kontakt und zeigt sich oft sehr unleidlich. Sie gehört zu den Pferden die einen grundsätzlich erstmal mit angelegten Ohren begrüßen und sich auf der Koppel nie die Mühe machen würden, auf einen zu zu laufen. Statt dessen steht sie am aller hintersten Ende und dreht einem den Hintern zu, an besonders schlechten Tagen schnappt sie auch mal nach dem Halfter, während man es ihr anlegen will.
Und auch unter dem Sattel gibt es viele Dinge die ihr nicht passen, auf die sie entsprechend reagiert. Verlangt man zu viel von ihr oder ärgert sie, buckelt Cambella im Nu los oder geht durch.
Das soll nicht heißen dass sie unreitbar ist. Es sind die kleinen Anzeichen, die einen vor ihren Ausbrüchen warnen, die man als Reiter kennen muss. Cambella ist kein Anfängerpferd und erst recht kein Pferd für wechselnde Reiter, sie braucht jemanden der sich die Mühe macht sie und ihre Macken kennen zu lernen. Denn wenn man sie kennt, weiß man wie man mit ihr umgehen muss damit man normal mit ihr arbeiten kann.
Und dann zeigt Cambella schöne und vor allem ausgesprochen bequeme Gänge, eine schnelle Auffassungsgabe, Talent am Sprung und vor allem viel Mut. Und von ihrer Trainierin, die Cambella nun seit 3 Jahren jeden Tag ertragen muss, hat man auch gehört dass sie in manchen Momenten auch mal liebevoll grummelt oder sich an sie schmiegt.
