Wie schon ihre Mutter ist auch Flying Varna sehr aufgeschlossen und sanft. Zu jeder Zeit einfach im Umgang und auch mit ihren Fohlen sehr zärtlich. Im Sport zeigt sie großes Interesse und Lernbereitschaft. Sowohl in der Dressur, als auch beim Springen ist sie in der Mittelklasse anzusiedeln. Auch mit Fohlen beifuß ist sie in der Herde verträglich und eher unauffällig, obwohl sie ihre Fohlen auch vor zickigen Müttern sehr wohl zu schützen weiß und sich von aufdringlichen Kerlen nicht abschrecken lässt. Flying Varna liebt es sich zu präsentieren und liebt den Rummel um sich herum, was sie auch zu einem wundervollen Kinderpony macht.
