Anders als sein Vollbruder Spooks Albertros hat Sparkle Abs hauptsächlich das Temperament seines Vaters geerbt und findet eher weniger Ruhe von seiner Mutter in sich. Abs ist ein sehr impulsiver Hengst, der gerne mal über die Stränge geht und stets mit Vorsicht zu genießen ist. Er ist zwar nicht bösartig, unterschätzt seine eigene Kraft aber und so wird aus einem übereifrigen Schmusen schnell eine gebrochene Rippe. Beim Training ist der Hengst immer mit Elan dabei und kaum zu bremsen. Sowohl in der Dressur, als auch im Springsport findet er einen Anreiz und ist gleichermaßen begeistert. Das Fahren macht ihm ebenfalls großen Spaß, weil er seine Kraft dort sinnvoll einsetzen kann.
