Dieser Schimmelhengst aus der deutschen Reitponyzucht kann für einen Turnierreiter tatsächlich auch zum „weißen Ritter“ werden, denn MS Royal Christmas ist ein Sportpartner, wie er im Buche steht. Zurückgehend auf Prämienhengst Cherokee's Royal Adventure ist die Begabung von Royal Christmas für die Vielseitigkeit und das Springen nicht verwunderlich, denn auch sein Vater ist ein begnadeter Military-Partner und von dieser Seite her sehr schrecksicher, trittsicher und robust. Das Temperament und die Intelligenz hat sich Royal Christmas bestimmt von seiner Mutter abgeschaut, denn Elitestute DWs Dolores Zethajones ist, genauso wie er auch, ein sehr wendiges, geschicktes und schnelles Reitpony. Im Parcours kommt einem Reiter sein hohes Grundtempo zwar zugute, denn im Zeitspringen ist er einfach eine Wucht, aber ganz einfach ist es mit ihm dann doch wieder nicht, weil er in seiner Eile oft hektisch wird und nicht ganz sauber springt. Daher ist es schon wichtig, dass er einen Reiter auf dem Rücken hat, der ihn kontrollieren und setzen kann, damit er neben seiner ganzen rasanten Vorstellung nicht darauf vergisst, seine Beine ordentlich unter den Bauch zu ziehen und die Hinterhand nicht hängen zu lassen.
Schafft man das aber, wird man mit MS Royal Christmas keine Probleme haben, denn er ist ein sehr fleißiger Partner, gibt viel für seinen Reiter und ist in seiner ganzen Art und Aufmachung einmalig. Vor allem auf Turnieren blüht er immer auf, denn er ist auch ein kleiner Showmaster und liebt Publikum – und wenn er weiß, dass er im Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit steht, genießt er das erst Recht und versucht den Zuschauern auch das zu bieten, was sie sehen wollen. Was allerdings wichtig ist und ein Reiter bei MS Royal Christmas nie vergessen sollte: auch wenn man ihn einmal zurecht weisen muss, man darf nie unfair ihm gegenüber sein, denn der Schimmelhengst hat ein sehr gutes Gedächtnis und ist sehr intelligent und diese zwei Eigenschaften können schnell dahingehend umschlagen, dass er nachtragend ist und einem seine Fehler nie verzeiht. Um eine gute Zusammenarbeit und Kooperation mit ihm möglich zu machen, ist es also besser, von vorne herein eine bestimmte Linie einzuhalten und es erst gar nicht zu gravierenden Fehlern kommen zu lassen.
