Welleby ist eine kleine, kompakte Hannoveranerstute, die besonders auf Turnieren, aber auch im Training, richtig ehrgeizig ist. Sie will alles so richtig wie möglich machen, ist deswegen auch manchmal zu übereifrig, was sich dann später in Erschöpfung widerspiegelt. Welleby ist aber ja noch jung und benötigt eben Routine, welche sie aber in den nächsten Jahren sicherlich noch sammeln wird. Im Umgang ist sie nicht ganz so einfach, wie man es gerne hätte, vertraut sie einem aber, kann man fast alles mit ihr machen. Da ihr besonders Pedigree auf eine spätere Karriere hinzeigt, ist es wichtig, die Kleine behutsam zu fordern und möglichst wenig falsch zu machen. Die Kleine ist aber auch schon auf dem richtigen Weg, präsentiert sich fleißig und schön tretend unterm Sattel, springt schon eine gewaltige Höhe und lernt zur Zeit das Gelände kennen, damit sie später einmal in Vielseitigkeitsprüfungen erfolgreich sein wird. Schon jetzt zeigt sie sich mutig und ständig auf eine Herausforderung erpicht.
