Antares hält sich mehr dezent im Vordergrund auf, denn er gehört zu den wenigen schüchternen Hengsten. Man meint er wäre ein gewöhnlicher Vollblutaraber, weil er kaum auffällt, doch das ist er keineswegs. Ihn unterscheidet von anderen Hengsten, dass er sich manchmal divenhaft verhält, was man sonst eher bei Stuten beobachtet. Zudem ist er fleißig im Training und kann recht frustriert sein, wenn etwas nicht so klappt wie er es gerne hätte. Zu seinen bisher überragenden Erfolgen hat sicher auch sein Pflichtbewusstsein beigetragen, denn es ist ihm wichtig zu zeigen wie ernst ihm das Springen ist. Hin und wieder kann er kindisch sein, vor allem wenn ihm was nicht in den Kram passt. In seinem Herzen ist er noch das Fohlen geblieben, was seinen Willen durchsetzen will. Seine Bezugsperson sollte viel Feingefühl und eine gewisse Dominanz mitbringen, damit Antares ihn akzeptiert und wahr nimmt. Ebenso sollte man dem Hengst auch hin und wieder Abwechslung bieten und sein Talent in Springen fördern, da in ihm sicher noch einiges an Potenzial schlummert.
