Veslander Warmblut Breed Standards

Breed Profile

The Veslander Warmblood is a Designer Breed established by horse breeders in the fictional country of Vesland who wanted to breed an elegant, correct, high-performance sport horse with lots of expression and nobility. A rough, ungraceful, inharmonic appearance is not desirable.
An overall harmonic build which enables the horse to perform permanent and successfully in its discipline(s) is desired. The conformation should be correct in position and should fit well with the rest of the body in strength and proportion. Joints, bones and fibers should be clearly marked. A Veslander Warmblood should mature at at least 155cm / 15.1hh.
The Veslander Warmblood registry accepts all colors and patterns.

Breeding Method

The breeding goal should be achieved through both pure breeding and combination breeding and through selection. Crossbreeding with all kinds of breeds is allowed and will be registered as long as the product matches the breeding goals. However crossbreeding with non-sport horse typed breeds should be handled with care and the main focus should be on getting a high-performance, harmonic Warmblood.

The following breeds can be specifically approved for breeding Veslanders:

Registering

Foals by one or two Veslander parents can be registered as Veslanders independent of the stable's location. First generation Veslanders can only be registered as Veslanders if they are born within Vesland.

Naming

There are no official naming restrictions for any Veslander breeds.

Other Veslander Breeds

In addition to the Veslander Warmblood the following breeds have been established in Vesland: Vesland(er) Riding Pony, Vesland(er) Small Horse, Vesland(er) Half Blood, Vesland(er) Draft.
