Die Holsteinerstute ist tatsächlich ein Ebenbild ihrer Mutter, vielleicht nicht was das Exterieur angeht, aber ganz bestimmt was das Interieur angeht, denn wenn es jemand drauf hat, ihre Weidenkumpels rumzuscheuchen, dann ist es diese junge Dame und sie fühlt sich dabei noch nichtmal schlecht. Claire erweist sich als überaus dominant, so muss man ihr immer erst einmal klar machen, wer eigentlich der Chef im Haus oder viel mehr unter dem Sattel ist, denn einfach kann jeder und Claire ist mit Sicherheit alles andere als einfach. Sie testet immer wieder aufs Neue ihre Grenzen aus und da muss man stets konsequent sein, wenn man ihr einmal nachgibt, dann hat man schon verloren. So muss man stets am Ball bleiben und sie im Auge behalten, denn oft weiß man nie was die junge Stute so als Nächstes plant. Dazu kommt, dass extrem ehrgeizig ist und einen sehr ausgeprägten Siegerwillen hat. Sie arbeitet unter dem Sattel sehr konzentriert mit und lässt sich auch von nichts ablenken, schließlich muss sie stets ihr Bestes geben und das kann sie nunmal nicht, wenn sie jeder Lufthauch ablenkt. Ihr Arbeitswillen bedeutet allerdings nicht, dass sie einfach in der Handhabung ist, denn auch hier geht sie manchmal mit etwas zuviel Temperament zur Sache, was dann meistens in Sturheit ausartet, man sieht also, man muss immer ganz genau wissen wie man sie anfassen und mir ihr umgehen muss. Claire ist eine wahnsinnig stolze Stute, welche sich in nichts reinreden lässt und fast schon wie eine Prinzessin behandelt werden muss, damit auch alles zu ihrer Zufriedenheit abläuft. Genauso benimmt sie sich im Umgang mit anderern Pferden, sie ist eine sehr temperamentvolle Leitstute, die auch stets ihre Position behaupten muss. Aber eigentlich ist sie garnicht so anstrengend, wie sie immer den Anschein macht, denn wenn man wirklich mal ihr Herz erobert hat und sie weich bekommen hat, dann ist sie ein durchaus menschenbezogenes oder gar verschmustes Pferd, welches einem nichtmehr von der Seite weicht. Hier ist dann allerdings wieder das Problem, dass sie recht eifersüchtig auf andere Pferde reagiert und denen schon mal gerne mit angelegten Ohren gegenübertritt.
