Leonardo zu Ehren ist einer unserer Mainauer in 1,5. Generation. Um eine neue blutlinie zu bekommen, haben wir nochmal externen Blut eingekreuzt, was definitiv nicht geschadet hat. Leonardo, der Buckskin, der auffälig ist durch seine Färbung und Abzeichen ist in kleiner wahrer Schatz und ein ganz, ganz großer Macho. Wo er nur kann, wir werden sehen, ob er dieses noch mals ablegen kann oder wird.
Ansonsten ist unser kleiner Macho sehr ehrgeizig und konzentriert - allerdings erst, wenn ein Reiter auf ihm sitzt. Vorher ist das mit der Konzentration Glücksache, da kann auch schon mal ein Huf auf den Fuß des putzenden Reiters platziert werden. Also ein kleiner Schussel ist er zu meinem Macho noch.
Ist er auf der Weide oder kann zumindestens frei laufen, dann jagt er jedem Vogel nach. Manchmal haben wir das Gefühl, in ihm sei ein Hund verloren gegangen, wenn man ihn dann so sieht.
Zu seiner Veranlagung ist noch zu sagen, dass er sowohl Spring- wie auch Dressurgene mitbekommen hat und wir uns in beiden Fällen bis in die Klasse M etwas erwarten.
