Yule Cat takes her name from an old Icelandic legend, wherein around Christmas time, children who've been naughty needed to fear the "sinister and gargantuan beast" that was the yule cat. If one were walking down the street at night and heard a pitiful meow, they would know that doom was about to befall them! She resembles something like that in competition, as she's a fierce competitor who seems to know how crucial it is to never touch a rail. She also really pushes herself on the cross country course. You'd never know it around the farm though, because she is a total softie who nickers for treats, loves scratches behind the ears, and wants to be friends with the barn cats. We purchased her from Westveil Estate and are so pleased she is part of our Thoroughbred team. We hope to see her continue with so much success as an eventer and show jumper.
