Agathe ist eine ganz bezaubernde Stute mit einwandfreiem Charakter. Sie ist menschenbezogen genug, um sich von jedem überall anfassen zu lassen, besitzt aber auch genügend Eigenständigkeit, um einem nicht ständig auf die Pelle zu rücken. Mit genügend Einsatz kann sie ein Pferd werden, das ihrem Menschen ohne Halfter und Strick quer durchs Gelände folgt, je mehr Menschen jedoch mit ihr zu tun haben, desto neutraler wird sie. Sie verträgt sich in der Regel sehr gut mit anderen Pferden und teilt nur hin und wieder im Übermut ein paar Tritte aus. Meist findet man sie mittdendrin im Tumult, wenn es irgendwo groß zugeht, obwohl sie ein eher zierliches Fohlen war, hat sie schon früh beschlossen, überall dabei sein zu wollen. Auf der Koppel muss man sich meist an wesentlich aufdringlicheren Pferden vorbeikämpfen, um zu der mittig grasenden Agathe zu kommen. Aber zumindest ist sie nur selten so überdreht, dass sie sich gar nicht erst einfangen lässt. Neue Umgebungen verunsichern sie manchmal noch, vor allem wenn sie sich dort alleine oder nur mit fremden Pferden wiederfindet, aber sie besitzt genug Mut, um nicht kopflos davonzustürmen. Bei der Arbeit zeigt sie sich meist interessiert, lebt aber manchmal noch ihren jugendlichen Übermut aus - und wenn wir uns ihre Eltern so ansehen, stehen die Chancen gut, dass der ihr bis ins hohe Alter bleiben wird.
