Wahrlich wie eine schwarze Perle mutet diese Stute an und ist dann doch braun, wenn sie im Licht steht und man mehr als nur den Kopf betrachtet. Qatara ist eine sehr snftmütige Stute, sehr kuschelig in Gesellschaft von Mensch und Pferd und selten scheu gegenüber fremden Personen. Im Umgang ist sie immer sehr feinfühlig auf Signale und achtet auf den Menschen neben sich, denn sie hat auch einen großen Beschützerinstinkt gegenüber allen, mit denen sie näher zu tun hat.
In der Herde macht sie Chef Taza bereitwillig Platz und ist gut Freund mit allen, die sonst so da sind. Vor allem um ihren Nachwuchs und auch den Nachwuchs anderer kümmert die dunkle Stute sich sehr liebevoll.

Unterm Sattel zeigt Qatara sich nicht viel, sie kennt den Westersattel und läuft in allen Gangarten im Gelände, auch einfache Dehnungsübungen bereiten ihr keinerlei Probleme, auf dem Platz hat sie diese jedoch noch nicht angewendet. Einzig erkennbar ist, dass sie viel Feuer im Hintern haben kann, wenn sie länger nicht geritten wurde und dieses dann auch ziemlich gerne mal rauslässt, erst recht wenn Gesellschaft dabei ist, an der sie sich messen kann. Qatara ist nahezu scheufest, in kribbeligen Situationen wie Wildbegegnungen erschreckt sie sich schonmal und springt ein paar Meter vorwärts oder zur Seite, doch unkontrolliert durchgehen tut sie nicht und auch Angst hat sie an solchen Stellen dann später nicht.
