Esme ist eine temperamentvolle, charakterstarke und mutige Trakehnerstute. Sie stammt mütterlicherseits von einer langen Linie erfolgreicher HG-Trakehner ab. Dort finden sich allerhand Pferde, die im Springen und in der Vielseitigkeit bis in die hohen Klassen erfolgreich sind und waren. Väterlicherseits hat sie edles Blut von englischen Vollblütern, die ebenfalls auf eine lange Linie auf der HG zurückblicken können. Ganz schön viele Erwartungen an so eine junge Stute. Dabei muss sie ja ihren eigenen Weg gehen! Aber wenn man sie sich so auf der Weide anschaut, dann tut sie das auch. Schon als Fohlen tollt sie herum, fetzt über die Wiese und springt über kleine Gräben. Dabei mischt sie die anderen Pferde ganz schön auf.
Im Umgang ist sie nicht immer einfach. Sie weiß, was sie will und was sie nicht will. Sie kann schnell ungeduldig werden und dreht dann durch. Da hilft nur: Ruhe bewahren! Oder am besten direkt von Anfang an wissen, wie man mit ihr umgeht. Viel Abwechslung, viel Bewegung und genug Zeit, um sich auszupowern. Das liebt unsere schöne Esme.
Esme ist ein absolutes Turnierpferd, weil sie sich gerne präsentiert. Sie fliegt dann nur so durch den Parcours und scheint den Applaus sehr zu genießen.
