Ofydd interessiert sich viel für das um ihn herum, dabei kann es auch mal sein, dass er nicht mit allem aufpasst und daher mal einen unachtsamen Schritt zur Seite auf jemandes Fuß macht. Das darf man ihm nicht übel nehmen, denn der Braune ist schnell mal unterfordert. Weiß man, ihn richtig ans Arbeiten zu bekommen, bedankt er sich mit Aufmerksamkeit und konzentriert sich auf das, was man ihm vorgibt. Ob man dann ein Hindernis in der Dressurarbeit stehen hat, frei arbeitet oder ihn mit Geschicklichkeitsaufgaben beschäftigt, ist recht egal, denn er ist dankbar für jede Herausforderung.
Obwohl er auch eingefahren ist, kann sich seine Leistung unterm Sattel wirklich sehen lassen. Er steht fein an den Hilfen und kommt mit viel Schub, natürlich guter Aufrichtung und einem soliden Grundtempo daher.
Ist er grade nicht mit seinem Trainer beschäftigt, ärgert er gerne die anderen Pferde und sorgt im Stall für Action. Findet er einen Spielkameraden, kann er stundenlang beschäftigt sein und lässt sich wenn überhaupt nur durch rossige Stuten ablenken. Achja, ein Hengst ist er auch, im allgemeinen Umgang merkt man ihm es aber nicht an, denn er ist weder heftig im Umgang, noch rein von Hormonen gesteuert.
