Fortnight ist ein stürmischer Zweibrücker-Hengst. Er will immer im Mittelpunkt der Aufmerksamkeit stehen und macht sich stets bemerkbar. Ob in seinem Paddock oder am Putzplatz, er hampelt herum, schnauft und plustert sich auf. Fortnight ist wirklich nichts für schwache Nerven und braucht unbedingt eine bestimmte, erfahrene Hand, die ihn gut mit ihm umzugehen weiß. Mit dem richtigen Umgang wird aber aus ihm ein ehrgeiziges Vielseitigkeitspferd mit sehr hohem Potential. Am Start ist er immer sehr ungeduldig, denn er kann es kaum erwarten, in den Military-Parcours zu starten. Schnell wie der Blitz saust er durchs Gelände, wobei einem als Reiter schnell mal schwindelig werden kann. Er denkt mit und er hat sich mal an seinen Reiter gewöhnt, vertraut er ihm voll und sie sind ein unschlagbares Team.
Zwar ist Fortnight nicht immer einfach, aber mit einer Sache kann man ihn immer bestechen: Äpfel. Er liebt vor allem sehr süße, mehlige Äpfel und wenn man davon was dabei hat, macht er fast alles, was man ihm sagt. Mit dem Alter wird er sicherlich auch ruhiger werden, aber trotzdem sollte man immer mit Vorsicht an ihn herantreten.
