Dagobert ist ein brauner Ponyhengst mit einem frechen Funkeln in den Augen. Trotz seiner kompakten Statur sprudelt er vor Energie und ist immer bereit für neue Abenteuer. Seine Arbeitsfreude ist bewundernswert, und er kennt stets die Aufgaben, die zu erledigen sind. Meistens begrüßt er alle mit einem freundlichen Wiehern, aber sein wahrer Charakter zeigt sich, wenn es um Wasser geht. Dagobert meidet es hartnäckig, sich waschen zu lassen, und ein Planschen im Bach ist für ihn ein absolutes No-Go.
