Ligretto ist ein sehr großrahmiger Wallach, der in seiner Zeit als Hengst gekört war. Er hat sehr schwungvolle Gänge, weswegen man ihn gut zusammen halten muss, um ihn ordentlich sitzen zu können. Im Umgang und unter dem Sattel ist Ligretto ein wahrer Macho, der sich seiner Größe bewusst ist. Er fordert ständig 110% Aufmerksamkeit und verlangt dem Reiter alles ab. Trotzdem kann man sich auf ihn verlassen, da er nicht hinterlistig ist, sondern klar im Kopf. Wenn man ihm viel Arbeit bietet, so dass er keine Langeweile bekommt, "vergisst" er auch seine Macken und ist ein tolles Reitpferd. Außerdem wäre es sicherlich ein gutes Buschpferd, da er sehr vielseitig ist und sich am Sprung im Gelände sehr unerschrocken zeigt.
