Trahes Montreal wurde auf einer eher westernorientierten Ranch in Amerika geboren, er war eher ein Zuchtexperiment der Besitzer. Anfangs bekam er leider daher auch nicht die Aufmerksamkeit, die er sich eigentlich verdient hat - was wir immer noch sehr bedauern. Zum Glück hat er sich aber keine Macken angewöhnt, weder im Umgang noch im Reiten. Im Gegenteil - jetzt wo er von Menschen umsorgt wird, blüht er erst so richtig auf und präsentiert sich gerne und gut. An Möglichkeiten mangelt es ihm kaum, kein Wunder dass er jetzt auch Richter in internationalen Dressurprüfungen begeistert. Auffallend schön ist dabei seine Kniearbeit - weswegen ihm die Piaffe und Passage öfters mal Noten über 7,5 einbringen. Was ihn nur ab und an mal etwas verlässt ist sein Mut - daher geht er "nur" Springprüfungen der Klasse L, wo er aber auch schon durchaus mal platziert ist und teilweise auch vorne dabei ist, je nach Parcoursaufbau. Schön ist dabei auch seine Bascule - er macht sich lang und erreicht die Höhe locker. Nur eines mag er nicht - Wassergräben. Da muss man ihm noch etwas die Angst nehmen, dann werden die Siege nicht daran scheitern.
