Lansdown Dilks ist ein Pony, das sich jeder junger Reiter wohl nur wünschen kann, wenn es ihn in den Springparcours zieht: Im Alltag umgänglich und ohne große Dramen zu händeln, sofern sich nicht gerade ein Gullideckel in der Nähe befindet, weil die sind nun mal wirklich gruselig, dreht der Hengst im Parcours mit dem richtigen Reiter komplett auf. Ist sein Reiter etwas unsicherer, so scheint er selbst auch stets einen Gang zurückzuschalten, auch wenn man manchmal den Eindruck gewinnen könnte, dass er seinen Reitern mehr zutraut, als sie sich selbst. Mit Lansdown ist schon der ein oder andere Jungreiter über seine eigenen Grenzen hinausgewachsen, weil sie ein wenig von dem Ponyhengst dazu "geschubst" wurden.
Der Fuchshengst bringt eine ordentliche Manier am Sprung mit und sehr große Freude an Bewegung, sodass man ihn eigentlich schon dann glücklich macht, wenn er raus darf - ob das nun in den Parcours, ins Gelände oder doch mal ins Viereck geht. Man merkt allerdings dennoch, dass ihm das Springen am meisten liegt, auch wenn es im Gelände durchaus keine festen Hindernisse scheut. Nur hauptberuflich möchte er das wohl nicht machen, erweckt es den Eindruck.
Im Umgang mit anderen Vierbeinern ist Lansdown Dilks eigentlich ein recht unkomplizierter Kerl, der mit Wallachen wie Hengsten kein Problem im Umfeld hat. So lange seine Kumpanen mit ihm über die Weide heizen, ist es ihm offenbar recht egal.Leonie
