Caletta ist an sich eine relativ ruhige Natur mit angenehmem Temperament. Sie zeigt sich im Umgang sehr unproblematisch, ist meist sehr lieb und vor allem verschmust.
Auf der Weide und im Stall ist sie ruhig, kämpft nicht um Rang und Namen und ist eher eine gute Freundin. In Rossezeiten kann sie jedoch manchmal auch sehr zickig werden. Sie ist eine liebevolle Mutter, den Verlust ihres zweiten Fohlens hatte sie schnell überwunden und ist bei den darauf folgenden Fohlen zwischen allen Müttern immer besonders aufgefallen.
Caletta arbeitet in erster Linie konzentriert und versucht stets alles richtig zu machen. In der Dressur nimmt sie die Hilfen fein an und lässt sich wunderbar auf den Reiter ein, solange die Anforderungen nicht zu hoch werden. Neue Dinge lernt sie zwar schnell, doch manchmal scheint sie ein Brett vor dem Kopf zu haben, sodass man alles in sehr viele kleine Schritte unterteilen muss.
Caletta ist gerne im Gelände unterwegs, allerdings arbeitet sie noch lieber im Viereck. Als Abweschslung kann man mit ihr mal rausgehen, da ist sie auch selten richtig ängstlich.
