Ich bin euch ja noch das zweite Fohlen vom 18. März schuldig, das mittlerweile 11 Tage alt ist. Die Mutter ist hier unsere Prämienstute S Gomba, eine der ältesten Töchter des Ausnahmehengstes Conversano Rosa. Gomba brachte uns mit Ganadera die Mutter der Stute mit der höchsten Zuchtbewertung bisher: Canaima EA, die wiederum mit Iapetus EA dieses Jahr ihr erstes Fohlen bekam. Die Linie ist also schon lang und großartig aufgestellt. Und auch für die 19-jährige Gomba ist die Zuchtkarriere noch nicht zu Ende. Nach einer internationalen Dressurkarriere bis Prix St. Georg stehen ihr hoffentlich auch noch einige gute Zuchtjahre bevor, solange sie noch fit ist. Dieses Jahr war auch sie in der riesigen Herde von Serenata (S Neapolitano Serenata II), der wie sie aus der Zucht von Southern Acres Inc stammt. Über Serenata gibt es ja nicht mehr viel zu sagen - mittlerweile ist es ja bereits schon das 7. seiner Fohlen aus diesem Jahr - von insgesamt 10 Stuten, die er beglücken durfte. Nummer 7 wurde braun geboren, wird aber natürlich ausschimmeln. Der junge Hengst, der nach einer Bilderbuchgeburt innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf den Beinen war und sich den Bauch vollschlug, hört auf den Namen Neapolitano Gomba und wirkt schon jetzt sehr sportlich und eher weniger barock. Wir sind aber natürlich gespannt, wie er sich noch entwickeln wird.
