Marshall – der kleine Träumer. So kennt ihn bei uns jeder. Der charmante kleine Rappe scheint in seiner eigenen Welt zu leben, und nach seinen ganz eigenen Maßstäben. Die sind aber recht einfach zu durchschauen und im Alltag meistens hilfreich. Erstmal, am wichtigsten – Marshall mag Ruhe. Deshalb macht er keinen großen Rabatz mit anderen Pferde, zickt nicht mit den Pflegern rum und verträgt auch mal ein paar Tage ohne Beschäftigug. Dann: wenn er was machen muss, soll es sich auch lohnen. Also hat man ihn erstmal zur Arbeit gebracht und ihm klar gemacht, dass er sich nicht drücken kann, ist er bereit viel zu leisten und wirklich zu zeigen, dass in ihm ein top Dressurpferd steckt. Dritter, wichtigster Maßstab – wehe ihm kommt einer in die Quere. Hat man ihn zum Beispiel zum Arbeiten motiviert und ist dann selbst unkonzentriert und fahrig, zeigt Marshall einem deutlich dass ihm das nicht in den Kram passt. Dann kann er auch mal ein wenig ungemütlich werden, aber er verzeiht schnell und ist man wieder voll bei der Sache, ist er es auch. Für einen Hengst ist Marshall damit sicherlich sehr ungewöhnlich, als Reitpferd aber absolut Klasse.
