Meno Grandi bedeutet auf Deutsch weniger groß. Doch wenn man sich den Shettlandwallach so ansieht, scheint sich der Name überhaupt nicht zu bewahrheiten, denn mit seinen 1,07 Metern liegt er gerade so im erlaubten Shettystockmaß. Warum er diesen Namen trotzdem hat, weiß keiner. Meno ist ein extrem kinderliebes Pony. Zwar kann er auf der Weide mal so richtig aufdrehen, aber bei Menschen hält er sich meist zurück. Es macht ihm nichts aus, wenn auch mal mehr als ein Kind um ihn herum tänzeln, solang er nicht geärgert wird. Er mag es, die Aufmerksamkeit anderer auf sich zu ziehen. Der 7-jährige wäre eventuell auch für den Schulbetrieb geeignet, sofern die Reitschüler noch nicht allzu schwer sind.
Auf dem Platz gibt er sich die größte Mühe, seinen Reiter unfallfrei und ordentlich durch die Trainingseinheit zu bringen und selber noch etwas zu lernen. Undeutliche Hilfen von Anfängern versucht er zu erraten und dann umzusetze
