Lynwen ist ein liebes Mäuschen, die im Umgang nicht besonders wählerisch ist, wenn es darum geht, mit wem sie sich abgibt. Sie ist gegenüber Menschen und Pferden gut verträglich und lässt sich auch gerne von patschigen Kinderhänden putzen und betüddeln. Gegen heimlich zugesteckte Leckereien hat sie auch nichts und ist bei den Kleinen immer sehr vorsichtig was das angeht. Solange sich Lynwen auf bekanntem Boden befindet, ist bei ihr alles in Ordnung.
In fremden Gefilden oder im Gelände ist sie oft guckig und erschreckt sich auch mal vor Kleinigkeiten. Ihr Reiter sollte sattelfest sein und ihr die nötige Sicherheit geben, sonst bleibt die Arbeit mit ihr nicht besonders entspannt. Inzwischen ist sie auf Turnieren halbwegs entspannt, anfangs war das mit ihr noch sehr kompliziert. Mit Reitplätzen und -hallen kann man sie inzwischen nicht mehr schocken sondern lediglich verunsichern, im Gelände sieht das jedoch ganz anders aus. Manchmal ist der Grad der „Schreckhaftigkeit“ auch von der Tagesform abhängig, an guten Tagen, kann man Guckereien einfach überreiten, an schlechteren erschrickt sie auch mal vor einem Busch. Am besten lässt man sich davon nicht beeindrucken, sonst wird es nur schlimmer. Lyn kann man mit Bodenarbeit gut packen, denn sie knobelt gerne an Dingen herum und ist konzentriert bei der Sache.
