Geboren 2000, real alternd.
Smaragd ist sehr hübsch und verzaubert mit ihrer langen Mähne und dem unwiderstehlichem Blick, dennoch ist sie nicht immer das einfachste Pferd. Jeder neue Reiter wird erstmal hart getestet und seine Schwächen ausgenutzt bis zum gehtnichtmehr. Früher endete das oft in unkontrollierbaren Kraftausbrüchen; inzwischen ist Smaragd viel ausgeglichener und hat es meistens nur aufs nächste Grasbüschel abgesehen. Nur im Winter, wenn sie sich auf der Koppel nicht ordentlich bewegen kann, wird sie manchmal ungemütlich zu reiten, denn faul ist sie keineswegs. Ihre Lieblingsdisziplin ist eindeutig das Fressen - Springen liegt ihr nicht, Dressur ist ihr zuviel Denkarbeit und Ausreiten zu weit von der Herde entfernt. Doch wenn der Reiter seine Position klar gemacht hat, ist Smaragd brav wie ein Lamm und lässt sich auch für die verschiedenen Trainingseinheiten begeistern. In der Herde schaut das Ähnlich aus, auch wenn Smaragd fast immer die Leitstute ist, kann sie nachgeben.
