Peng macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. An manchen Tagen kann er es kaum erwarten zu laufen, an anderen Tagen ist er träge und wällte am liebsten nur auf der Weide bleiben. Dennoch, Peng ist ein temperamentvoller Hengst, der auch im Alter sein verspieltes Wesen nicht verloren hat. Der Westfalenhengst ist vorallem auf das Springen spezialisiert, aber auch die Dressur macht ihm Spaß. Er springt wie ein Ass über jede noch so unvorstellbare Höhe. In der Dressur geht er ausgeglichen, obwohl er nicht die allerbesten Gangarten hat. Im Training gibt es solche und solche Tage. Einmal ist er höchst konzentriert und versucht alles richtig zu machen. Aber es gibt auch Tage an denen er sich einfach stur stellt und sich dann auch schwer zügeln lässt.
