Der schneeweiße Wallach aus Island konnte sich dort nicht wirklich in der Zucht durchsetzen, was mehrere Gründe hat. Zum einen ist Snjór ein relativ kleiner Isländer, weshalb er für die Zucht per se eher ungünstig ist, da inzwischen Isländer eher um die 140cm groß sein sollten, um von vielen verschiedenen Menschen geritten werden zu können. Zum anderen ist Snjór ein Pferd, das sich mit dem Tölten sehr schwer tut und dem Tölt den Trab vorzieht. Es fällt ihm schwer die Gangart zu halten und sie vom Trab zu differenzieren. Daran könnte man zwar mit Sicherheit üben, aber er wirkt im Tölt selbst auch immer sehr verloren. Schon als Hengst war er sehr lieb und kein dominanter Typ, was sich jetzt als Wallach noch mehr zeigt. Er liebt Zuwendung und lässt sich super gerne knuddeln. Alle sind sofort seine Freunde. Egal ob der neue Kumpel auf der Weide, der nette Mensch, der neben seiner Wiese herläuft oder auch die Katze, die gerade auf dem Weidezaun in der Sonne sitzt. Dabei ist er relativ touchy und manchmal etwas aufdringlich, denn er lebt nach dem Motto "Wer weiß, hier könnte ein Leckerli sein, also suche ich mal mit meiner Nase danach", dementsprechend wird alles und jeder mit der Nase abgetastet. Für Futter tut er sowieso alles. Und er muss auch im Kopf gefordert werden, da er ein Wallach ist, der sehr gerne Denksportaufgaben macht und auch Spaß daran hat neue und ungewöhnliche Dinge zu probieren. Vermutlich wäre er deshalb auch für In-Hand Prüfungen jeder Art sehr gut geeignet.
