Die Schimmelstute ist ein Mix aus ihrer Mutter Dúfa und ihrem Vater Gáski. Kennt man Gletta nicht, bzw kennt sie einen nicht, so ist sie sehr temperamentvoll und durchaus frech. So rennt sie lieber zu den Futtereimern, anstatt sich von einer fremden Person führen zu lassen. Jedoch kann man sie auch ein paar Mal ruhiger beobachten. Wenn sie zum Beispiel auf der Weide unter ihren Gleichaltrigen ist, so ist sie recht lieb zu ihren "Freunden", zeigt aber ganz klar, wenn ihr etwas nicht passt. Auf der Weide besticht sie durch die Gänge ihres Vaters. Und hat man erstmal das Vertrauen zu Gletta aufgebaut, so entdeckt man ihre Mutter in ihr wieder, da sie dann an ihren guten Tagen versucht, es ihrem Reiter recht zu machen. Jedoch hat Gletta immer wieder auch schlechte Tage, an denen sie garnichts machen will und von den Gängen her nur herum schleicht und nur Schabernack im Kopf hat. Daher kommt auch ihr Name.
