Balyndis kann man in erster Linie als süß und lieb bezeichnen. Die Falbin lässt sich für ihr Leben gerne von allen durchkuscheln und fremdelt vor keinem. In der Gruppe spielt sie viel mit den anderen Pferden, hat aber auch gerne mal ihre Ruhe. Wird es hektisch lässt sie sich immer wieder mal anstecken, antrainiertes Verhalten. Balyndis ist sehr intelligent, sie erkennt Zusammenhänge schnell und arbeitet gerne mit, wenn man sie dazu auffordert.
Balyndis bekommt mit die besten Fjordgene des Stalls mitgegeben. Ihr Vater Fnugg kam aus Finnland nach Vesland und mischte dort die Fjordzucht mit frischem Blut auf. Der Braunfalbe zeigte sich aber auch auf Turnieren sehr erfolgreich, seine Fohlen kommen ihm da nach. Oft finden sich unter ihnen auch Vertreter des Fahrsports. Auf dem Gestüt Elwen hat Fnugg sich als Stammhengst etabliert. Mutter Smigre kam ebenfalls aus Finnland und zeigt sich sowohl unterm Sattel als auch vor der Kutsche als äußerst wendig und geschickt. Als Graufalbin ist sie darüber hinaus für die Zucht sehr interessant.
Balyndis hat Potenzial in viele Richtungen und wurde entspannt eingefahren. Sie hat schon Erfahrungen im Einspänner und beweist gute Qualitäten. Sie hört gut auf Stimme und kann Hilfen präzise umsetzen. Sowohl im Hindernisfahren als auch im Gelände liefen die ersten Versuche überaus zufriedenstellend.
