Wer den Stalltrakt von Abbey Mable betritt, bleibt selten unbemerkt. Die auffällige Fuchssabino-Stute ist die personifizierte Neugier: Mit gespitzten Ohren und einem freundlichen Wiehern begrüßt sie jeden Zweibeiner sofort am Zaun oder an der Boxentür. Abbey ist extrem menschenbezogen und sozial, doch ihre unbändige Lust, alles zu erkunden, was „nicht niet- und nagelfest“ ist, stellt Reiter und Pfleger oft vor kleine Herausforderungen.
In der Arbeit zeigt sie sich talentiert, lässt sich aber nur zu gerne von ihrer Umwelt ablenken – ein flatterndes Blatt oder ein neues Hindernis sind oft spannender als die Hilfen des Reiters. Diese mangelnde Konzentrationsfähigkeit führt leider auch dazu, dass sie sich in ihrem Übereifer ab und zu eine kleine Schramme zuzieht. Zudem pflegt Abbey ein gewisses Image als kleine Diva: Wenn das Wetter nicht passt, der gewohnte Speiseplan variiert oder die Zeit mit ihren Freunden auf der Weide gekürzt wird, lässt sie ihren Unmut deutlich spüren.
Dennoch ist sie ein Pferd mit riesigem Herz, das im Parcours bereits jetzt ein beeindruckendes Potenzial und eine natürliche Veranlagung für den großen Springsport zeigt.
