Es steckt keine große Schwierigkeit dahinter zu erraten, dass Saphir geboren wurde, um zu springen. Beide Eltern hoch talentiert über dem Sprung und gleichsam wenig begabt in der Dressur - so hält es auch der braune Junghengst. Zwar mangelt es ihm in der Dressur nicht an schönen, ausdrucksstarken Grundgangarten, doch einfach sinnlos in einem Viereck umher laufen? Schon immer war DCs Saphir ein Pferd, das gerne mitdenkt und die Möglichkeit dazu haben möchte. Im Parcours kann auch das Pferd den Weg erahnen, der zu laufen ist und dabei mitdenken. In der Dressur hingegen ist er von seinem Reiter völlig abhängig - klar, dass der lebhafte und teilweise sehr eigenwillige Hengst keine Ambitionen in diese Richtung hegt. Auf der Koppel hingegen ist der Braune meist aufgedreht und sprintet über die weiten Grasflächen, gemeinsam mit den vielen Freunden, die er in seinem Leben gefunden hat und auch noch weiter finden wird.
