AE Aletta is one of our fairytale friesian sporthorse mares, purchased from the renowned Abusir Estates as a three year old in 2011. Since then she has done quite well for us and her training has certainly progressed with extreme hope for her future as both a competitor and a broodmare. Aletta can be a standoff-ish mare, preferring to occupy her own spot underneath a tree on a sunny day, especially after a nice long roll in the dirtiest spot she can find. While she's an intelligent mare, this seems to get her into more trouble than one would hope for and more often than not you can expect to find her in interesting circumstances that she demandingly - erm - 'patiently' waits for you to help her out of. At the end of the day we consider ourselves winners with this exceptionally conformed mare who possesses the power and grace that we desire in a high level dressage horse, and continue to enjoy her somewhat difficult presence.
