Mary Poppins ist eine temperamentvolle und eigenwillige Stute. Sie ist unerschrocken und meistens übermotiviert, dadurch ist sie aber nicht unbedingt leicht zu reiten. Sie hat eine enorme Kraft und weiß dies genau. Wer meint mit Kämpfen bei ihr weiterzukommen wird sehr schnell den Kürzeren ziehen. Man sollte dem Bewegungsdrang dieses Pferdes gerecht werden und es abwechslungsreich trainieren. Wer Mary Poppins Stärken einsetzt und ihre Kraft in die richtige Bahnen lenkt findet in ihr das perfekte Militarypferd. Sie ist ausdauernd, mutig, sprunggewaltig und immer voll bei der Sache. Bei der Military sollte man darauf achten dass sie nicht zu schnell wird, aber ansonsten kann sie die Sprünge sehr gut einschätzen und hat viel Potential. Die Dressur ist nicht ihre Stärke, dennoch könnte sie wohl auch ein gutes Vielseitigkeitspferd werden.
