Wer je mit Riccione zu tun hatte, weiß endlich, wie sich wahrer, ehrlicher Ehrgeiz anfühlt. Ein Pferd, was immer gewinnen will (und auch oft genug gewinnt), ein Hengst, der mit "solala" nicht zufrieden ist und ein Partner, der seinen Reiter zur Höchstleistung auffordert. Mit weniger gibt er sich nicht zufrieden und kann dann auch durchaus schon mal unzufrieden werden. Wer sein Bestes gibt, bekommt auch nur das Beste zurück. Mit Frauen hat er manchmal ein bisschen Probleme. Ob sie ihnen zu lieb sind oder größentechnisch nicht das her geben, was sich Herr Ehrgeiz wünscht, ist nicht ganz klar. Er braucht deutlich länger, um sich mit weiblichen Reitern zu einigen, aber auch das ist nicht unmöglich. Auch mit seinen Mitpferden erwartet er Perfektion und Gehorsam, kann ein Nein aber nicht gut hinnehmen und ist mit ein oder zwei festen Pferden zusammen besser als in einer Herde. Um ihn so richtig einzuschleimen und für eine gute Zusammenarbeit zu danken, gibt man ihm einfach eine ganze Gurke. Am Stück.
