Still Not Sorry steht da, als hätte sie nichts zu erklären. Keine Rechtfertigung im Blick, keine Ausrede in der Haltung. Man spürt sofort: Diese Stute ist nicht hier, um gefallen zu wollen. Sie ist hier, weil sie beschlossen hat zu bleiben.
Im Alltag nennt man sie Slate – wie Schiefer, dunkel und glatt, mit scharfen Kanten dort, wo man sie nicht erwartet. Slate merkt sich alles. Wege, Stimmen, kleine Veränderungen im Tonfall. Sie beobachtet mehr, als sie zeigt, und reagiert nie überstürzt. Wenn sie sich bewegt, dann bewusst. Wenn sie stehen bleibt, dann endgültig.
Sie ist kein Pferd für laute Gesten oder schnelle Freundschaften. Nähe muss man sich verdienen. Wer sie unterschätzt, weil sie klein ist, macht den ersten Fehler. Wer glaubt, sie testen zu müssen, den zweiten. Slate lässt Dinge zu – oder eben nicht. Und sie trägt jede Entscheidung mit einer Konsequenz, die leise, aber unumkehrbar ist.
In der Arbeit zeigt sie eine trockene Ehrlichkeit. Kein Drama, kein Theater. Sie tut, was sinnvoll ist, und verweigert sich allem, was hohl oder inkonsequent wirkt. Dabei bleibt sie klar im Kopf, fast kühl – aber niemals leer. Unter der Oberfläche arbeitet etwas Waches, Analytisches. Slate denkt mit. Und manchmal denkt sie voraus.
Still Not Sorry ist kein Name aus Trotz. Es ist eine Feststellung.
