Valdis ist die beste Freundin von Jorunn die beiden kann man kaum trennen. Ist Jorunn mal weg, ruft Valdis die ganze Zeit nach ihr, auch manchmal bei der Arbeit. Bisher standen die beiden ausschließlich zusammen und gerade die jüngere der beiden hat noch Probleme mit der Trennung, die sich hoffentlich geben, sobald sie auch zu anderen Stuten mehr Kontakt hat.
Ansonsten ist Valdis aber eine gute Partnerin. Sie ist im Umgang sehr aufmerksam und beim Putzen meistens mustergültig still. Sie kaut manchmal ein bisschen zu intensiv auf Führstricken rum oder auch auf allem, was ihr sonst so unter die Nase kommt. Hat man es ihr dann nicht schnell genug weggenommen, darf man wieder was ersetzen.

Unterm Sattel ist Valdis manchmal noch etwas zögerlich, nicht ängstlich, aber doch ein bisschen vorsichtiger. Sie fühlt sich unterm Westersattel am wohlsten. Mit viel Übersicht bewältigt die Braunfalbin Trail-Parcourse und zeigt im Training bislang immer Coolness. Gewusel am Reitplatzrad macht ihr nicht viel aus, es sei denn Jorunn antwortet mal auf das Rufen, dann ist die Arbeit erstmal vergessen.
