Pirke ist ein charakterlich sehr nettes Pony, welches sehr verschmust ist. Seine Eltern Obelix und Gudlaug legten ein gutes Fundament für Charakter und Exterieur. Der Norwegerwallach ist ein sehr breit gebautes Pony. Er deckt mit seinem Körperbau auch größere Reiter gut ab, auch, wenn er vielleicht kein großes Stockmaß hat.
Er freut sich immer über Aufmerksamkeit, fordert diese auch immer mal ganz gerne ein, indem er einen echt auf die Pelle rücken kann.
Der Norweger war eine längere Zeit als Deckhengst tätig. Er brachte zwei gesunde Nachkommen hervor, die im Turniersport unterwegs sind bzw. waren.
Er zeigt dennoch keinerlei unartige Verhaltensweisen vor und ist deswegen sehr lieb und brav einzuschätzen.
Der Wallach hat ein unheimliches Interesse an Menschen. Er ist einer der Ersten, der freudigen Besuchern entgegenkommt, sich an den Zaun stellt und kraulen lässt. Wenn dann ab und an ein Leckerli ihm entgegenkommt ist es für ihn als Jackpot einzuordnen.
Er ist die Sorte neugierig und nervenstark. Durch und durch ist er im Gelände eine absolute Lebensversicherung und lässt sich sofort aus dem Galopp in den Stand bremsen. Große Autos, LKW oder gar Traktoren sind ihm egal, aber auch andere Tiere wie Hühner, Ziegen oder Schafe findet er eher interessant als gruselig.
