Die Holsteinerstute ist eine sehr nervenstarke Persönlichkeit, die sich schnell langweilt. Malaika will beschäftigt werden und nicht nur das, si ist auch sehr gelehrig und wissbegierig, was die Arbeit mit ihr nur verschönert und vor allem erleichtert. Das spätere Springpferd hat eine Vorliebe für Wasser entwickelt und genießt es an warmen Tagen geduscht zu werden. Egal an welcher Körperstelle, Malaika bleibt ruhig stehen und genießt einfach bloß. Sie ist neuen Menschen und Tieren immer sehr aufgeschlossen und kann sich selbst in eine Gruppe sehr gut und schnell intekrieren. Sie ist weder zickig noch hochnäsig, was ihre Artgenossen auf der Weide sehr an ihr schätzen.
