Iron Age ist ein recht zielorientierter Hengst mit einem Willen aus Stahl. Allerdings fährt er unglaublich ungern mit dem Hänger irgendwohin, da muss man sehr schlau sein, um ihn überhaupt in den Hänger reinzukriegen. Meist lässt er sich mit viel gutem Zureden und einem Bündel Karotten hineinlocken, aber besser ist es noch, wenn einer seiner Kumpels schon drinsteht und genüsslich am Heu knabbert, das überzeugt Iron dann doch. Unser Schimmel ist ziemlich dominant, er besteht ständig auf die Führungsrolle, er hasst es tierisch, wenn er sozusagen in einen Rang ganz unten gedrängt wird. Als sein Reiter muss man ein gutes, sensibles Händchen haben, aber auch Kraft und Intelligenz wird benötigt, um Iron handhaben und vorallem reiten zu können. Dabei hat der Schwede so ein butterweiches Gangwerk und das nötige Geschick, in der nahen Zukunft ein grandioses Dressurpferd zu werden.
