Choco scheint im Leben nur eins zu wollen: springen. Worüber sie springt, ist ihr dabei ziemlich egal. Es heißt zwar, dass Pferde ohne Reiter normalerweise nicht springen - aber die Betonung liegt dabei auf "normalerweise". Choco ist die lebende Ausnahme, die die Regel bestätigt. Manchmal springt sie nämlich auf der Koppel sogar ohne ersichtlichen Grund. Sie ist sehr lauffreudig und energiegeladen, ständig in Bewegung und scheint kaum jemals zur Ruhe zu kommen. Nur abends in der Box fällt sämtliche Anspannung von ihr ab und sie wird ruhiger.
Im Umgang ist die hübsche Palominostute ausgesprochen sanftmütig. Sie liebt es, lange geputzt zu werden, was man bei ihrem übersprudelnden Bewegungsdrang gar nicht erwartet hätte. Doch vom Boden aus ist sie, wenn Menschen in der Nähe sind, deutlich vorsichtiger und passt auf, niemandem wehzutun. Die Arbeit mit ihr bereitet ausgesprochen viel Freude, denn man muss sie kaum jemals zur Mitarbeit motivieren, das bringt sie ganz von selbst mit. Und Ausflüge ins Gelände mit viel Galopp findet sie ebenfalls super.
Ihre Lieblingsjahreszeit ist übrigens der Winter: Sie ist ein kleines Schneemonster und wird zu einem Kleinkind, wenn sie die weiße Pracht sieht. Sie dabei zu beobachten, wie sie durch den Schnee pflügt und darin spielt, entlockt selbst dem grummeligsten Menschen ein Schmunzeln.
