2001 durfte sich King of Thunder bereits Körungssieger in Sachen-Anhalt nennen und 2002 in Berlin-Brandenburg. 2003 wurde er endlich auch in Süddeutschland anerkannt und konnte mit seinen 4 Jahren dann auch schon erste Turniererfolge, eine Nominierung zum Bundeschampionat und erste Nachwuchserfolge verzeichnen. Nur ein Jahr später platzierte er sich erfolgreich in einer Dressurpferde-A-Prüfung und gewann ebenfalls im gleichen Zeitraum ein Springturnier der Klasse E. Der Sieg für das Bundeschampionat des 6-Jährigen Dressurponys rutschte nur ganz knapp an ihm vorbei. Weitere Platzierungen der Dressurpferdeprüfung L sowie der Springprüfung Klasse A folgten und machten ihn zu einem bekannten Turnierpferd.
Seine Eigenleistung im Bereich Sport lassen uns weiterhin auf eine erstklassige Dressurkarriere hoffen und wir erwarten auch weiterhin gute Zuchterfolge. Zur Zeit genießt King of Thunder eine Ruhepause auf der Weide, wo er einfach mal wieder Pferd sein darf und sich auf die kommende Turniersaison freuen kann. Trotz des wenigen Sportes, was er im Moment bekommt, ist sein Wesen aufgeschlossen, ausgeglichen und stets gut gelaunt. Der Deckeinsatz ist für ihn im Moment nicht vorgesehen, es steht aber immer eine gewisse Menge Tiefkühlsperma von ihm zur Verfügung. Bei besonderen Ausnahmen sind aber auch Decksprünge machbar.
